August 14-Cache Humane Society – Logan, Utah

On a bright sun shiny day along Valley View Highway Saturday morning, several scouts from Boy Scout Troop One, along with two British scouts from the Ashford District, Kent, UK, participated in an Eagle Scout project for Troop One scout Mark Veeder. Mark Veeder is working on his Eagle Scout Project at the Cache Humane Society, moving and landscaping a retention pond that will allow the Humane Society to remove a building, enlarge the parking lot, and ultimately create a dog park.

Ashford District Scouts Kingsley Standen and Robert Wright enthusiastically showed up with their host family American scouts Ryan and Garrett Martin and Matthew and Dan Hogan. After fueling on donuts and fruit drink beforehand, prospective Eagle Scout Mark Veeder gave directions to all volunteers on where best to dig weeds around the marshy retention pond, and where to place the weeds once they had been plucked from the ground. Veeder has set a goal for the end of August to complete his Eagle Scout project for the Cache Humane Society.

SCOUTS are all brothers. If you see a fellow Scout in need, you help. no questions asked. That's why I have been involved with Scouting since I in elementary school in the 1960's. Good job boys!!
