Logan City Police Department, reigning Guns 'n Hoses softball tournament champions

Guns 'n Hoses Softball Tournament

The Child and Family Support Center's 2nd Annual Guns 'n Hoses Softball Tournament was held Saturday, September 12th at the Logan Quadraplex. Teams were comprised of police and fire officials from various area agencies.

The championship game had Logan City Police Department, who won the tournament last year, taking on Smithfield Fire Department Team B. The game was close and evenly matched with Smithfield Fire taking an early lead. After being down 10-8, LCPD roared back in the 5th inning, scoring 9 runs to move ahead 17-10.

That ended up being the final score, making the Logan City Police Department reigning champions and allowing them to hold on to the traveling trophy for one more year.

The Child and Family Support Center would like to thank all those who helped make the Guns 'n Hoses Softball Tournament a success, particularly those teams from area police and fire departments!
