Wanted: some poll workers to help with the 2012 election on Tuesday, November 6th.
Cache County Clerk Jill Zollinger has made a plea for more volunteers and said for poll workers it would be an all-day commitment. There is some training involved.
On KVNU’s Crosstalk show Friday, Zollinger said some new things are being tried this year.
“We’re going to have six vote centers in Logan,” Zollinger said, “which means that the citizens in Logan can go to any one of these six locations and vote.
“We have it set up so that their name will appear at any one of those locations. Once they’ve voted, obviously, they couldn’t vote again because it counts that and records it in the system.”
She says anyone willing to help by serving as a poll worker is asked to call the county clerk’s office at 755-1840. Zollinger will be providing a lot of other information on the election on Wednesday, September 19 when she will be a guest on KVNU’s Crosstalk program at 9:10 a.m.
