The Logan City Police Department will be conducting a public training for businesses and religious organizations interested in learning how to prepare for an active shooter scenario and what to expect from a police response.

A non-denominational public meeting will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 100 East 100 North in Logan. Assistant Logan City Police Chief Jeff Curtis says the training will not only cover what could happen in church gatherings, but also what could happen at business or public settings. He says it is important for people to know how much time the police might need to respond to a situation and what safety protocols people should follow.

Contact the Logan City Police Department at 716-9311 for more information and to RSVP for this free event.
