Logan High students video in the running for $1000 cash prize

LOGAN— Logan High School students are in the running to win a $1000 cash prize in Zions Bank’s “Financialize Film” video contest which promotes good financial choices.

Trenton Chang, Casey Coe and Nick Curry’s “The Money Vaccine” video is posted online for a public vote. The three are competing against 15 other submissions from Utah middle and high school students. The finalists were chosen from a pool of nearly 70 entries.

The makers of the winning video will win the $1000 cash prize plus a $1000 matching award for their school. Second and third place winners will receive $500 and $250 respectively, plus matching awards for their schools.

The 60 second video from Logan High shows a student getting advice on how to build wealth in the real world rather than chasing a mythic money vaccine. Online voting is open through March 31st. Winners will be announced the week of April 8.
