Cache County Search and Rescue was called out Saturday afternoon on a report that four individuals were out on a canoe on Cutler Marsh when the winds picked up and they couldn’t get their canoe back to shore.

According to the Cache County Sheriff’s Office, a 57-year old female, a 17-year old foreign exchange student, a 7-year old girl and a 3-year old boy were getting tossed around by the winds in their canoe. The group eventually lost phone contact with other members of their party who were out canoeing with them.

Search and Rescue was called out and when they got into the water they were able to locate the group. All four were fine but were reported to be cold and tired. All were treated on scene and released.
