According to Cache County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Brian Locke, deputies received a call around 10:30 P.M. that a man had broken his ankle, hiking the popular Wind Cave trail, 5 miles North-east of Logan. Locke said search and rescue workers were able to find the hiker half way up the trail near the switchbacks. Locke said it is believed the hiker broke his ankle after falling off the trail. Search and rescue workers took the hiker back down the trail to a waiting ambulance, where he was transported to Logan Regional Hospital.
