Selmon leads Bear River past North Sanpete

Bear River put up a big lead early than had to gut out a physical and flag-ridden game to pick up a 42-20 road win over the North Sanpete Hawks in the season opener for both teams. Jeremy Selmon was the catalyst for the Bears finding the endzone three times, including the final score of the game going 91 yards to the house.

North Sanpete fell behind quickly 22-7 in the first half, but fought valiantly in half number two, scoring twice in the fourth quarter. But it was too little, too late as the Bears got the ball back with one minute remaining and Selmon put the nail in the coffin. The Bears now will travel to Preston, Idaho to face the Preston Indians at 7 pm next Friday night. 104.9FM will have the action.
