LOGAN — Primary Election polls opened Tuesday morning to a lite turnout, as voters began casting ballots for county executive, recorder and treasurer.
Polling locations around the valley reported just a handful of voters during the first couple hours, after opening at 7 a.m.
Voters in Logan can vote at anyone of six polling sites in the city. Most other cities in the county have polls set up in their own town halls or city offices. Residents in Benson, Cove, Young Ward and College Ward cast their ballots by mail.
Turnout is expected to be lite across the state in part because each party’s candidates for the state’s four congressional seats, attorney general and dozens of state legislative races were already decided at party conventions in late April.
Polls will close at 8 p.m.
