Crews called to rescue injured snowmobiler

LOGAN — Cache County Search and Rescue crews were called to help an injured snowmobiler, Wednesday afternoon near Franklin Basin.

Dispatch received a call that the adult male hit a tree and was complaining of shoulder and back pain. The accident occurred around Pat Hollow, just north of the Idaho, Utah border.

Because of the remote area, a Life Flight helicopter was also dispatched to the area to assist in the rescue.  They were able to locate the snowmobiler and transport him to the hospital.

The man was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.  His identity has not been released.
