Woman dies after being pinned under vehicle

LOGAN — Police have released the name of the 79-year-old woman who died Tuesday afternoon after being run over by a vehicle in Hyde Park.

North Park Police Chief Kim Hawkes said Barbara Lamb was reportedly hit and pinned beneath a minivan driven by her husband, 80-year-old Max Lamb, as they were preparing to leave home just before 4:30 p.m.

According to reports, Max was driving slowly down the driveway, towards his house to meet Barbara. He accidentally hit another parked vehicle in the driveway causing him to become distracted and not realize she was directly in front of him.

Hawkes said Max continued pulling forward striking Barbara and then colliding with the house.

Barbara was hit and pulled under the minivan. She was extricated by EMS and transported by paramedics to Logan Regional Hospital. She later died from her injuries.

No charges have been filed.
