Reward offered for information about Wells Fargo Bank robbery

Deputies and probation officers outside the Hyrum City Offices after a man reportedly robbed the Wells Fargo Bank, 10 West Center Street Tuesday night. 

LOGAN — A $5000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a man who robbed the Hyrum Wells Fargo Bank on July 28.

The robbery occurred just before 6 p.m. when a man walked into the building and threatened bank tellers with a bomb. Witnesses said the man appeared to have a small device in his hand. No one was reportedly hurt and the man left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a middle-aged white male, between 5’8” and 5’10”, with a slender build and approximately 160 lbs. He was seen wearing a long sleeve shirt, cargo style shorts, a wide brimmed hat and glasses.

Cache County Sheriff’s Lt. Mike Peterson said investigators are still conducting follow-up investigation on numerous leads since the robbery occurred. In conjunction with the investigation, representatives from Wells Fargo Bank are offering a $5000 reward for original information leading to the identification, apprehension, and conviction of the person(s) involved in the robbery.
