Police looking for man suspected of videoing women in store dressing room

LOGAN — Police are asking for the public’s help, identifying a man who was seen trying to record girls in a dressing room back in September.

Logan City Police Captain Tyson Budge said an employee at a dress store in the Cache Valley Mall, witnessed the man using his cell phone camera to record customers, while they were changing clothes.

“One of the employees just noticed a male who was just kind of shopping around but he wasn’t with anybody, said Budge. “She thought that was kind of weird so she watched him a little bit and then she saw him hold up his phone over one of the dressing room doors, so she obviously knew he was filming.”

The employee confronted the man, who ran from the store, getting into a silver or gray car and driving away.

Budge said employees at the store were able to retrieve security camera footage of the man. The employee who confronted him, was also able to provide a physical description of the suspect.

“He appears to be in his early 20’s, six-foot tall, 180 lbs. white male. He was wearing an Aggie t-shirt, ball cap and Levis.”

Anyone with information about the man’s identity is asked to call police.

Budge said the incident happened on September 21 but officers had not been able to get video footage until now.
