LOGAN — Flooding waters throughout the area have closed multiple roads that have either been washed out or structurally compromised.
The most resent closure occurred Saturday afternoon, when deputies closed a portion of Mendon Rd., between 3200 W. and 5400 W.
Cache County Sheriff Chad Jensen said a large culvert that runs under the road was washed out and the road collapsed. The closure is expected to last several days until crews repair the road.
In a press release from the county, public information officer Janeen Allen said there are currently nine roads closed. Most of the closures are located in the western part of the county.
In addition to Mendon Rd., the other closures include:

1400 S. between 3200 W. and 3600 W.

5400 W. from Mendon Rd. to 2400 S.

1100 E./1400 E. in Richmond between 11600 N. and 11800 N.

1800 S. in Young Ward from 2400 W. to 3200 W.

4600 N. in Smithfield between 800 W. and 1600 W.

2400 W. in Benson near 5400 N.

Smithfield Canyon Road

High Creek Road in Cove
