If you would like to attend some of the Cache County Council meetings but are unable to get there, now you can do the next best thing: watch the meetings from home.
At Tuesday’s Cache County Council meeting the council approved a recommendation from County Executive Craig Buttars to start live streaming the meetings.
Buttars said his secretary Janeen Allen has the ability with the use of cell phones to video a meeting and put it on Facebook.
Allen admits it isn’t exactly the same as being at a regular meeting.
“It’s not a public forum in the sense that you can ask a question and have it answered during the meeting,” Allen explains. “If you want to leave a comment or ask a question of council members, of course we can see those comments and those questions, we will monitor them.
“They can be answered at a later time when council members can respond to them.”
She says Tuesday’s meeting was live streamed, although few people were aware it would happen.
