Councilwoman Nancy Potter to run for North Logan City mayor

After serving on the North Logan City Council for the past 10 years, Nancy Potter has decided to run for mayor of her city. Potter said she believes the city’s current mayor, Lloyd Berentzen, has done a great job over the past eight years he has been in office. With the help of the council, Potter said many good things have happened under Mayor Berentzen’s leadership, including the creation of the North Park Police Commission and the development of the North Logan City Center and the North Logan Cemetery.

“Another big area,” she said, “is we’ve been working with the Cache County School District with the lands area, so all of the fields and stuff like that, we have a contract with them on who’s going to maintain which fields and who can schedule them, who can use them and so that’s going to be a nice complex that’s over by the ice arena.”

Potter is a native of North Logan City and, having lived there all her life, said she believes the city and its citizens are special. She is running for mayor because she wants to help the community keep moving in a positive direction and believes her experience will help her work with other residents of North Logan to maintain positive growth and expand economic opportunities.
