Semi-truck fire detours traffic along Valley View Highway

LOGAN — Traffic was detoured along a part of Valley View Highway Thursday morning, after a semi-truck caught fire.

It was reported just after 7 a.m. on SR 30 near 1150 W, just south of the Sheriff’s Office.

When fire crews arrived, they found the semi’s engine completely engulfed in flames. The truck was a vehicle transport but was not carrying any cars.

Officers detoured all traffic onto 400 N while crews extinguished the fire and towed the truck out of the center median.

There were no injuries or other vehicles involved.

Traffic along SR 30 was reopened about an hour later.
