Cache Democrats: Trump budget plan worse than originally feared

The budget plan proposed by President Donald Trump is “even worse” than Cache County’s Democratic Party Chairman feared it would be. Danny Beus said if Trump gets his wish, almost every area—especially social services—will be cut.

“I just think that it is cutting too much funding from the people who need it the most,” Beus said, “which is the working class. And people who are living paycheck-to-paycheck and who voted for Donald Trump trusted that he would take care of them. You know, that’s what he promised, and so it’s interesting that he’s hurting them the most.”

Beus said his biggest hope is that Republicans will realize how many people would be hurt by the president’s proposal and will decide not to approve it.
