It is playoff time at the NBA’s Las Vegas Summer League and two former Aggies are in the mix. Jalen Moore and the Milwaukee Bucks received the No. 14 seed and will be playing against No. 19 Sacramento Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. MT. Spencer Butterfield and the 20-seed Jazz will go up against No. 13 Phoenix at 6 p.m. MT.

Both of the Utah State guys have contributed in the offseason NBA competition.

Butterfield played in two of Utah’s three Las Vegas Summer League games. His best game so far was against the Portland Trailblazers where he picked up 11 points and two rebounds. He played twice in last week’s Summer League in Salt Lake City and averaged 4.5 points.

This is the second go-around for the 24-year-old. He had a good enough showing last year that he was called back to compete this year.

In addition to getting some Summer League playing time, Jalen Moore signed a two-way contract with the Bucks. That means Moore will be on the roster of Milwaukee’s G-League team, the Wisconsin Herd, and will be available to be called up to the Bucks for up to 45 days each season when needed.

In an interview posted to Twitter by the Herd, Moore said he is going to “enjoy the process” and that he looks forward to playing the position his team needs him to play.
