USU hockey team salutes the Aggie fans who made the trip to Ogden to see their team win their season opener against Weber State, 7-3.

Overcoming a 1-0 deficit only 45 seconds into the game, the Utah State Aggies hockey team opened their 2017-2018 season with a 7-3 road win over the Weber State University Wildcats.

The Aggies took advantage of the penalty-marred game by scoring all 7 of their goals on the power play. Junior Center Frank Flight led the way with two Aggie goals.

“I was pleasantly pleased and surprised. The intensity was there,” Aggies head coach Jon Eccles said after the game.
