It’s the Weekend – 10/19/17

It’s a really long weekend for some, with Fall Break and UEA, but there are some great events to keep you busy this weekend.

Elk Ridge Park in North Logan is the site of this year’s annual Pumpkin Walk. It’s always a big hit with families to see the hundreds of carved pumpkins that line the walkway. There are also dozens of creative displays featuring pumpkins, gourds and other vegetables. It’s a free event that goes from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day through Tuesday, October 24th, except Sunday.

The Fall Harvest Festival is underway this weekend at the American West Heritage Center. The festival is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Enjoy old-fashioned harvest festivities like cider pressing, hay rides, plus your admission includes their Corn Maze and other fun, fall activities.

Saturday night howl at the moon at the 17th annual Moon Dog Ball. The annual party with live music benefits 4 Paws Rescue and begins at 7 p.m. at the Logan Golf and Country Club.

The family-friendly 5k and 1 mile run begins at 8:15 a.m. Saturday morning at Elk Ridge Park. Prizes will be handed out for best costume and best couples finish.

The 8th grade students at Beutler Middle School are presenting “The Rockin’ Tale of Snow White” this Friday and Saturday at the Dahle Fine Arts Center in Dayton, Idaho. This musical is a fun twist on a classic fairy tale. Performances begin at 7 p.m. and there is no charge.

It’s a weekend full of fun. Get out and enjoy the great fall weather.
