Money for road extensions has been requested by Logan City

The Council of Governments, which is comprised of the 19 mayors in Cache County, made its recommendations this week for use of the road tax for transportation projects. Logan Mayor Craig Petersen said a total of $5,444,210 was allocated countywide.

Logan received funding totaling $2,501,755 for two projects: one for $725,400 (100% of what was requested) for property acquisition for 100 West extension and the other for $1,776,355 (71% of what was requested) for 1800 North extension from 600 West to 1000 West and improve intersection there.

The mayor said members of the Cache County Council will make the final decision. That money, if approved, will be allocated and received next summer and Logan City plans to make the road improvements at that time.
