On his monthly “Speak to the Mayor” program on Thursday, Logan mayor Craig Petersen said progress has been made on the Pickleball courts going in near Bridger Elementary School. He said they are at the point now where they need three days of temperatures 40 degrees or warmer so they can apply the surface. It might happen this fall, if not by next Spring at the latest. The mayor discussed another exciting project in the same location.
“We’re planning to build a BMX Bike Park. It’s basically a dirt park where people can come and test out their skills. I really think it’s going to be one of the most popular recreational facilities that we have in Logan City,” the mayor said.
“It’s something that has kind of developed fairly quickly. There is a lot of interest, they had a fundraiser a little while ago and it was successful. There will be a meeting at the Bridger (Elementary) school on Monday at 5:30 p.m. to talk about that BMX park.”
The mayor also announced that the ribbon cutting for the new county landfill in Clarkston will be held on November 20th.
