Cache GOP chair resigns, announces candidacy for District 5 state representative

LOGAN – Casey Snider of Paradise has been serving as chairman of the Cache County Republican Party, but resigned from that position Monday.

The reason? He’s decided to run for the office of state representative in District 5, the seat Curt Webb is retiring from. Snider said it is something he has been thinking about and talking about for some time.

“I know a lot of the local elected officials here and I’ve been talking to folks for quite some time,” he said. “I just decided that if Curt (Webb) ever wanted to move on and retire I was going to throw my hat in the ring and that’s what we’ve done today.”

Snider is a farmer by occupation and said he will work hard for the people if his campaign is successful.
