Store damaged after 2 vehicle crash

LOGAN — Police and emergency crews were called to Anderson’s Seed and Garden after a vehicle smashed into the front of the store. The accident occurred Tuesday morning around 11:20 a.m. near 60 W Center St.

Logan City Police Capt. Tyson Budge said a 67-year-old woman was westbound, attempting to turn into a parking stall. Witnesses reported she moved into the center lane and was about to make the turn when a 65-year-old man traveling behind her attempted to pass on the inside. The woman’s car pushed the man’s vehicle into another parked car.

Officers report the woman’s car then struck another car and accelerated, striking a light pole and smashing into the store’s front window.

Budge said neither driver was injured but there was significant damage to four vehicles and the store.

Officers believe both drivers were partially at fault. Citations are pending the completion of their investigation.

The store posted a <a href=”https://www.facebook.com/AndersonsSeedandGarden/videos/10155120912182109/” target=”_blank”>video of the damage</a> on their Facebook page Tuesday afternoon.
