RIVERTON, Wyo. (AP) — Central Wyoming College is planning to build a $10.5 million agriculture, animal science and equine community complex north of the Riverton campus.

The Riverton Ranger reports the college has already spent $1 million on the design of the facility, which will include two indoor arenas, an outdoor arena, classrooms, offices, locker rooms, a lab, an animal health unit and a maintenance shop. The college is expected to cover half of the cost before the state begins contributing money.

Administrators say the complex will allow for expanded program offerings that aren’t possible at the current equine facility. CWC is raising funds for the project through a capital campaign, grants and through the sale of the current equine center.
