LOGAN – Education is still the big issue when it comes to Utah Legislature funding, but State Representative Val Potter said transportation is quickly becoming a close second. Potter addressed members of the Cache County Council last night and discussed many of the issues that came out of the legislative session that just ended.
He said there will be additional money for Class B and C road funds, with other sources as well.
“The plan is to increase road funding and we will continue to do so,” he said. “We’ve got a huge bottleneck in various parts of the state. Point of the Mountain, with all of the money we’ve put into that the last few years, it’s still not enough.”
Potter said legislators have mixed feelings about a ballot issue coming from “My Schools Now.”
