SWAT teams serve warrant to suspected Logan drug house

LOGAN — Multiple law enforcement units executed a search warrant on a home early Wednesday morning, where investigators had evidence of drug use taking place.

Logan City Police Capt. Tyson Budge said agents with the Cache Rich Drug Task Force suspected the residence, near 453 West 200 North in Logan, was being used as a drug house.

“We had a child born recently that tested positive for meth from a resident of this location,” explained Budge. “The task force also had information of drug activity. They were able to gather enough information to put it together, obtain a search warrant and it was executed [Wednesday] by the Cache County and Logan City SWAT Teams because of the criminal history of the occupants.

Five adults and a child were in the home at the time of the raid. The adults were taken into custody peacefully for questioning.

Officers later arrested 37-year-old Kelly Keller, 42-year-old Janet Christensen, 23-year-old Tiffany Brown, 43-year-old Shane Spencer and 27-year-old Ashley Christensen.  All of them are being held on suspicion of drug possession and other offenses.

Budge said investigators have had previous involvements with some of the residents inside the home.

“They had history of meth labs, production of narcotics, aggravated assault and possession of weapons. We believe an Adult Probation and Parole parolee was living at this residence.”

Officers could not disclose what was found inside the home. Charges against the five suspects are pending the completion of an investigation.
