LOGAN – Utah State will be getting a lot of money to take on one of college football’s biggest names.

According to ESPN’s Brett McMurphy, the Aggies will visit Tuscaloosa to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2022 and will receive $1.91 million – the third largest amount of money given to a visiting college football team.

The game has since been confirmed by Utah State University. It will be played Sept. 3, 2022.

According to McMurphy, the amount ranks third after Florida’s $2 million to host Colorado State this upcoming season and the $1.93 million Auburn will pay Tulane in 2019.

The two teams have met twice before, with Alabama winning both contests. The last game was in 2004, when Alabama beat the visiting Aggies 48-17. The Crimson Tide has won five national championships since 2009.
