Retail store Shopko has announced another round of store closings, and this time it includes the Logan and Tremoton locations. In late December, the nationwide chain announced it was selling off a significant number of its pharmacy and optical centers. In January, the Green Bay, Wisconsin-based company announced it was closing several dozen stores, including 13 in Utah. On Wednesday, February 6 the company announced even more stores will be shutting their doors as part of a bankruptcy restructuring, indicating 251 stores will be shutting down.
The Tremonton location is scheduled to close May 5th and the Logan location is scheduled to close May 12th. The previously announced closure of Brigham City’s Shopko is scheduled for April 14th. In total, 19 Shopko and Shopko Hometown locations in Utah will by the middle of May.
Nine locations in Idaho are scheduled to close and six in Wyoming.
