Mamma Mia!
Dust off your sequin jumpsuit and platform shoes as Cache Theatre Company presents the ABBA hit musical, Mamma Mia! Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday then continue again next Monday and Tuesday.
USU Music Recitals
USU’s brass ensembles will showcase what they have been working on this semester at a free concert Thursday in the Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall. The students of the USU String Program will take the same stage on Friday, with masterworks of chamber music.
WWI Documentary
Peter Jackson’s award-winning World War I documentary ‘They Shall Not Grow Old’ will be shown in the Utah Theatre Thursday and Friday nights at 7 p.m.
Farm Animal Days
Did you miss Baby Animal Days, or just not get enough of those adorable baby animals? The American West Heritage Center kicks off Farm Animal Days this Friday and Saturday. They’ll continue to host Farm Animal Days every weekend through the end of the month.
Outdoor Product Design & Development Exhibit
The first-ever graduating class of Outdoor Product Design and Development at USU is hosting their senior exhibit at the Daines Concert Hall Friday from 1-3 p.m. They’ll be sharing their fantastic work and innovative products.
Moral Values in Islam Dinner and Lecture
The USU Muslim Students’ Club is hosting a free dinner and lecture Friday. Moral Values in Islam Dinner and Lecture begins at 4 p.m. at USU and includes an open-ended question and answer period.
Science Unwrapped: Quantum
Also happening at USU Friday is Science Unwrapped. This week they present Quantum: Plenty of Room at the Bottom. Admission is free and the event begins at 7 p.m.
Political Organizing Convention
The Cache County Republican Party is holding their organizing convention on Friday. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Cache County Events Center.
Anna Karenina
Tolstoy’s novel about love and tragedy will be played out on the stage of the Morgan Theatre Friday and Saturday at Utah State University. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. each evening.
Community Art Day
The Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art at USU is hosting a Community Art Day on Saturday. It’s free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Utah Writer’s Summit
Learn from renowned authors this Saturday at the Utah Writer’s Summit. It takes place at Utah State University from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and lunch will be provided.
Community Fair
This week is Library Week and the Logan Library is hosting a Community Fair on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be face painting, balloon animals and popcorn.
Beaver Mountain Hill Climb
Skiers and boarders have been conquering Beaver Mountain all season. This weekend it’s the snowmobilers’ turn. The RMSHA Beaver Mountain hill climb takes place Saturday.
USU Soap Box Derby
From going up a hill to going down one: Saturday is the 3rd annual USU Soap Box Derby. It takes place Saturday at 1900 North 1900 East in North Logan. Registration and participation are free, but there are cash prizes on the line for the fastest cars.
Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Banquet
The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is hosting their annual banquet and fundraiser Saturday. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner begins at 7 in the Riverwoods Conference Center.
Hangar Hop
Jump, jive and wail at the Hangar Hop, Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Logan-Cache Airport. The big band swing dance features live music and 1940s dress is encouraged.
Rolling Rocks for Refugees
And finally, finish off your weekend by helping local refugees at the Second Annual Rolling Rocks for Refugees bowling tournament. Doors open at 4 and the bowling starts at 4:30 at Logan Lanes.
