The primary is in the not-too-distant future, it will be held August 13th and KVNU’s For the People program has been spotlighting candidates for Nibley City Council for the last couple of weeks. On Tuesdays’ show was incumbent Tom Bernhardt. He has lived in Nibley since 2007 and he’s been serving on the council for the last 4 ½ years. He says he loves living in the community and has enjoyed his interactions with Nibley residents. He talked about some of the changes facing the city.
“The potential realignment with Logan is near and dear to everybody’s heart right now. There’s a lot of movement at least within Logan as well as discussion in Nibley, as to what to do and how to handle that….talking about the 32-hundred South intersection”, he said.
Bernhardt says growth is going to continue happening but keeping the rural feel is important. Also on the program was candidate Ciera Stout. We’ll hear from her on a later news cast.
