Green waste collection season coming to a close

LOGAN – The green waste collection season is coming to a close. The large roll off bins scattered throughout Cache County will be removed Monday, November 25.

Curbside green waste collection service will be discontinued November 29.

Green waste materials include: grass, leaves, garden waste, shrubs, branches, non-invasive weeds, clean hay and straw.

Materials NOT accepted include: rocks, gravel, dirt, pet waste, tree root balls, sod, anything over 6 feet in length or 12 inches in diameter,

If you don’t have a green curbside can, there are options.

“Most people lack a location to dispose of their green waste, so it’s always free to drop off all their materials at the Green Waste Facility year round,” according to Emily Malik, Logan City Conservation Coordinator. “Thanks to Cache County residents, each year we recycle more than 14,000 tons of green waste materials.”

The Logan City Green Waste Facility is located at 1450 North 1000 West.
