Weekend Event Guide: Dec. 12-15, 2019

Merry Christmas everyone! We’ve got some great ways to celebrate the season this weekend in Cache Valley.

PARADE OF GINGERBREAD HOMES

A downtown tradition continues with the Parade of Gingerbread Homes in Historic Downtown Logan. See the beautifully-decorated creations in downtown shop windows now through Christmas.

TABERNACLE CONCERT SERIES

Christmas concerts continue this week in the Logan Tabernacle. The Towne Singers perform Thursday, A Sacred Christmas – a multi-media musical Christmas fireside – is Friday, Irv Nelson and Friends share Our Christmas Gift of Music on Saturday. Those concerts all begin at 7. And on Sunday, a choir and orchestra perform Handel’s Messiah starting at 6:30.

CHRISTMAS FROM THE DAINES CONCERT HALL

The American Festival Chorus and Orchestra welcomes back GENTRI for a musical celebration of Christmas in USU’s Daines Concert Hall. Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30, along with a Saturday matinee at 2.

CHRISTMAS 3D SHOOT

The Cache Archers are hosting their annual Christmas shoot fundraiser this Saturday in the Cache Arena. Archers are welcome to attend between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and all proceeds go to our friends at KIX 96 in their efforts to support Cares for Christmas.

CANDLE OF LIGHT SILENT AUCTION

You’ll find gifts for family and friends at the Candle of Light’s Annual Silent Auction at the Logan Library on Saturday. The silent auction goes from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and all proceeds go towards helping communities in need.
