Animal Cruelty charge brought against Logan man

Police have arrested 22-year old Logan resident Emilio D. Hoy on a felony charge of cruelty to animals.

Lt. Rod Peterson says Hoy was arrested Friday and booked into the Cache County Jail on the charge stemming from an incident that occurred in late December 2009.

Police reports state Hoy was in an apartment complex near 1400 North 240 West in Logan when he allegedly picked up a Jack Russell Terrier dog by its tail and repeatedly shot it in the testicles with an airsoft gun. The dog’s owner is an acquaintance of Hoy.

Peterson says police are looking into filing charges against others who were involved in the incident.

I am glad to hear people are wanting to adopt this poor dog, I hope he gets a good home. I have a dog that was abused, he still has many problems but he is loved, and knows he is loved.

This is a sick man! He needs to be shot in the testies and see how big of a man he is then. In the Herald Journal it says he had a gun shot wound to his butt but never reported it, something else is going on here. If he's that disturbed to do that to animals...who knows what else he's doing.
