Parades and political candidates

Several candidates, both Republican and Democrat, will be in Cache Valley over the 4th of July weekend. Sam Granato, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, and Morgan Bowen, who is running for First District Congress, will be guests at the Cache County Democratic Party's CD party Friday.

The Independence Day-themed picnic starts a 7:30 p.m. at the home of Vince and Gina Wckwar, 1375 East 260 North in Logan.

On Monday, Republican Congressman Rob Bishop and State Senator Peter Knudson will be riding on the Republican Party's float in the Hyrum parade. That parade stats at noon and party chairman David James says both candidates will take time to talk to people after the parade.
