Arthouse hosting jazz concert

"Jazz From a Lower Latitude" featuring Jackson and Maggie Evans will perform Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Logan Arthouse and Cinema, 795 North Main. Both Maggie and Jackson were raised in Logan and are graduates of Utah State University. They are now living in Savannah, Georgia.

Their music is described as a blend of Latin American rhythms, southern swing and authentic Georgia blues. To enhance the performance they have invited Cache Valley virtuosos Eric Nelson and Jason Nicholson. A special appearance will also be made by USU Professor Mike Christiansen. The cost is $12 at the door.
