River Heights celebrating Apple Days

River Heights is hosting its annual Apple Days celebration starting Friday with a free outdoor screening of the classic Disney film "Bedknobs and Broomsticks." The place is near the pavilion in Heber Olsen Park at 400 South 600 East.

On Saturday, there will be a wide variety of activities including a 5K run at 9 a.m. at River Heights Elementary, bicycle barrel racing at 1 p.m. and a children's parade at 3:30 p.m. followed by the main parade at 4:00.

The main celebration will take place at Heber Olsen Park from 5 to 8 p.m. A short patriotic program will be followed by free activities and entertainment. The Lions Club will serve dinner throughout the celebration.
