Holistic family health expo hoping to connect body, mind and spirit

A holistic family health expo with an emphasis on LDS themes is coming up this weekend hosted by Cache Valley’s True Balance Health and Wellness. The organization’s founder and 40-year nutritionist, Deborah Campbell Knopp, says the health event will be held Friday and Saturday, January 30 and 31 at Castle Manor.

The hours on Friday will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Knopp says the theme for the two-day expo is Connecting Body, Mind and Spirit.

“We’ve gathered over 55 speakers and have classes from experts in all of these fields from body, mind, spirit,” Knopp explains. “Our keynote speaker is Dr. Bradly Nelson, he is the author of The Emotion Code. He is a national speaker.

“We have Leeta Greene, she is an author, How to Embrace Your Inner Hotness. She’s a national speaker who has been on TED Talk.”

Besides these national authors and speakers, Knopp says there will be speakers and classes that cover many different topics.

“We have several doctors, from herbalists to our own Dr. Chris Fabricius who is teaching a class about German biological medicine.”

Knopp says there will be entertainment Friday evening from Cactus Jack. She says a special feature of the expo is Howard Carlos Smith who will be there with the “treasured” Joseph Smith legion sword, walking stick and other items that have never been on display in Cache Valley.
