LOGAN — Police have released the identity of the Logan man who was killed in a single vehicle accident Tuesday night near 1400 North 1000 West.
Logan City Police Capt. Curtis Hooley said 33-year-old Ryan J. Udy was pronounced dead at the scene after the car he was driving struck a traffic light pole. He was reportedly driving southbound.
The accident occurred around 8:20 p.m.
Witnesses told officers the car Udy was driving went through the intersection and drove straight into the pole. They stated it did not appear he braked and there was no other vehicles involved.
When officers arrived on the scene they found Udy unresponsive and pinned inside the car. Paramedics and fire personnel extricated him while attempting life saving measures unsuccessfully.

The road was partially blocked while crews cleared the accident. The crash remains under investigation.
