LOGAN — An electrical fire Friday morning caused the evacuation of the Bear River Mental Health Services building at 90 East 200 North.

Logan City Fire Marshal Craig Humphreys said employees in the building called 911 after finding smoke in the basement.

Humphreys said they received report of the fire at 10:37 a.m.

“We did find lite smoke through a multi-purpose room,” said Humphreys. The smoke was traced to a furnace circuit board that had shorted out.

Crews reported no damage to the building and there were no injuries.
