Date ideas for this Valentine’s Day

If you don’t have plans yet for Valentine’s Day, have no fear. Plenty of events are taking place in honor of the holiday dedicated to love, and there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Jazz Night at the Sky Club

If you want to dance the night away with your sweetheart, this is the event for you. The Logan Golf and Country Club will be transformed into a 1930s jazz nightclub on February 13th-15th at 7 pm for the annual “Jazz Night at the Sky Club”. There will be live music, dinner and dancing. Thursday night is Student Night and tickets are $10. The other two nights, tickets are $50 and $45 for seniors. The event is put on by Utah State University’s Department of Music in the Caine College of the Arts. The country club is located at 710 N 1500 E in Logan.

USU Hockey Game

For a more laidback date night, go cheer on the USU hockey team as they take on Brigham Young University on February 14th. Puck drops at 7 pm. This game has a fun twist because it’s the Teddy Bear Toss. Bring a new stuffed animal to the game and toss it on the ice after the first goal. All donations will go to children in local hospitals. Adult tickets are $7 and children are $5. If you can’t make it to that game, the last home game of the season is February 15th against Weber State. Puck drops at 7:30 for that game. Games occur at George S. Eccles Ice Center.

Evening of Elegance at American West Heritage Center

The third annual Valentine Evening of Elegance and Music will take place at American West Heritage Center on February 14th and 15th. Dinner starts at 6 pm and is catered by Elements. Then at 7 pm, an hour-long program of music and magic will be enjoyed. The cost for dinner and the show is $59 and $29 for show only. Reservations are required. Traditions Week Spotlight Dance

This is an activity reserved for college students. Celebrate Valentine’s Day by dancing the night away and come dressed in green, yellow or red. Wear green if you are single, yellow if it’s complicated, and red if you’re taken. The dance will take place in the Taggart Student Center International Lounge. The dance will be followed by True Aggie Night. This event is free for USU students.
