Convenience store burglaries

Burglary suspect filmed breaking into the Short Stop convenience store in Hyrum.  The suspect is believed to be driving a white, 2-door coupe with a spoiler on the trunk.

LOGAN – Local law enforcement agencies are trying to identify a suspect, believed to be responsible for a rash of burglaries the past six-weeks. Cache County Sheriff’s Services Coordinator Erin Griffeth said there have been seven burglaries total, three in Box Elder County and four in Cache County.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid to late 20’s, with a chin strap beard. He was filmed breaking into the Short Stop convenience store in Hyrum. He was driving a white, 2-door coupe with a spoiler on the trunk.

Griffeth said convenience stores and gas stations have been the target in each burglary. The thefts occurred during the early morning hours. All of the businesses hit, reported having their front windows broken out. High-end cigarettes and cash were reported stolen in each theft.
