Black and White Days continues in Richmond and dairy people from all over the West are expected to turn out for today’s Western Nation Spring Cattle Judging Contest and tomorrow’s Western National Futurity and Heritage Cattle Sale. There’s a free family movie and a local band will be playing in the park on Friday. Chairman Jeff Young says there are activities all day Saturday including the popular Cow-A-Bunga Race at 8 a.m. Young says the race serves as a community fundraiser event. “They donate the money for different causes. This year it’s going to Make-A-Wish foundation for Shantrell Davis who has Cystic Fibrosis,” Young said. “She lives there in Richmond. She has to go down to Primary Children’s Hospital quite often throughout the year for different things.”Young says among the other Saturday events are a big parade at 5 p.m. followed by a draft horse pull at 7.
