Big Cuts to Logan School District Budget

Reductions of $595,000 have been made in the fiscal year budget due to legislative cuts, and now Logan School Superintendent Marshal Garrett as announced a recommended reduction of $1.98 million for fiscal year 2010 out of minimum school program funds.There will be increased class size and reduction of licensed staff, administrative staff and custodial and maintenance staff. There were many other recommendations made, including all open administrative positions be filled with current staff. Garrett invites the public to review the recommended reductions which he admits is presenting the biggest challenge in his 30 year career in education.
