Bridge Girders Going Up on 100 East Project

Construction crews will make significant progress with the 100 East project in Logan when they begin placement of the bridge girders on Monday and Tuesday of next week. Utah Department of Transportation Spokesman Vic Saunders says the work is part of a reconstruction project that will replace the Logan River Bridge and accommodate future expansion of 100 East to the south toward a connection with Gateway Drive in Providence. Each girder is 5 feet long and will require some intermittent road closures as transport vehicles move through Logan. The intersections at 200 North and Main Street and 300 South and Main Street will be closed temporarily at 9 a.m. Monday. The intersection of 300 South and 100 East will also be closed while transport vehicles deliver girders for placement.
