The Cache Education Foundation (CEF) is pleased to announce its 20th Anniversary! A celebration was held at Ryan’s Place Park in River Heights for all the CEF Board members along with representatives from the Dell Loy & Lynette Hansen Charitable Support Trust. With a profound interest in the future of Cache Valley and its residents, the CEF was founded in 1988 to enhance the learning environment for Cache County School District students from kindergarten through high school. Since that time, the CEF has channeled over $3 million to our local students and educators. An 18-member volunteer board of directors comprised of educators, business leaders, and community members runs the Foundation. They are: President- Bob Thomas Vice President- Colby Anderson Past President- Craig Adams Stan Checketts Frank Coppin Ted Erekson Dale Hansen Vesna Jenkins Greg Larsen Brian Leishman Mike Liechty Max Longhurst Bob Lynch Joan Mahoney Karen McBride Diana Olsen Matt Robbins Executive Director- Teri Lewis Honorary- Dell Loy Hansen This nonprofit public charity is incorporated as a 501(c)(3) entity, and receives donations from individuals, businesses and other organizations on behalf of the Cache County School District. The board also facilitates coordination for public education fundraising efforts. By donating time, money, or materials through the Cache Education Foundation, donors receive legal federal tax deductions and guarantee that contributions are being made to legitimate programs. Over the years, CEF has expanded its programs to include over 10 different scholarships and awards for students, teachers and schools. The CEF also provides educational incentives to encourage teachers and faculty to be constantly learning. This will help ensure that students in the Cache County School District are getting the highest level of education available from the most experienced and knowledgeable teachers around. The Cache Education Foundation would like to publicly thank Dell Loy & Lynette Hansen and all the generous donors who have been supportive of the many programs for which we advocate.
