Quayle Named as Thompson’s Replacement

Dean Quayle has been chosen to fill the seat on the Logan Municipal Council recently vacated by Steve Thompson. Thompson resigned on May 31st in order to pursue other interests, notably to pursue a position with Logan City to raise money for a new library. Quayle was chosen by the other councilmembers to replace Thompson until his term expires at the end of this year. He can then decide whether or not he wants to run for the office in the upcoming election. Councilwoman Tami Pyfer’s term also expires this year and Pyfer announced today that she will not be seeking a third four-year term. Mayor Randy Watts, who is completing the last year of his first term, has already announced that he plans to run again. Quayle has been active in numerous civic organizations, including Cache Community Connections, The Logan Tabernacle Concert and Lecture Series and the Multi-Cultural Center of Cache Valley.
