Multiple taxi companies providing transportation service in Logan

Most Logan-area residents know about Cache Valley’s fare-free bus service through the Cache Valley Transit District, but few know about the emerging taxicab companies operating in Logan. They’re not free, but two local companies, Logan Taxicab and Cache Cab Company, are providing transportation services to residents who need to get from point-A to point-B.Russell Wright has owned the Logan Taxicab service for the lat 10 years. He said the daytime hours are sometimes slow, but business picks up at night when bar patrons are seeking rides to Logan’s downtown bars.”Mostly Thursday, Friday and Saturday night is when we’re the most busy,” Wright said. “People don’t want to drink and drive, so we take them to and from the bars.”Wright said his company charges $1.79 per pickup and another $1.79 a mile. Cache Cab, the newer of the two companies, also is offering services and charges a flat rate fee of $8 for pickup and transportation within a certain service area (mostly including Logan) and then $1.79 a mile outside that service area.According to
