Man stabbed in downtown Logan

A fight broke out early Sunday morning behind a Logan bar, leaving one man with stab wounds and two in jail.The fight happened on Church Street and Federal Avenue near Mulligan’s Social Club behind the Logan Fire Department’s Station 70, police reports state.Logan Police Lt. Rod Peterson said officers were patrolling the area just after 1 a.m. when they saw a large group of people gathered, posturing for a fight.Peterson said a witness told police the fight was gang-related. He said one man was cut and another stabbed and then beat up. According to police reports the men were in the bar and took a disagreement outside. Levi Lieski, 29 of Logan, and Vannthy Moeun, 23 of Logan, were both arrested and booked in the Cache County Jail on felony charges of aggravated assault and possession of a dangerous weapon.Meanwhile, 32-year-old Darrell Palmer of Wellsville was taken to the Logan Regional Hospital with non life-threatening injuries and he also was charged with two counts of felony aggravated assault and one count of possession of a dangerous weapon.
